Major areas of the Indonesian Islamic finance industry are Islamic banking, Islamic capital markets (including Sukuk and Shariah compliant equities), and Islamic insurance. There are other Islamic financial players such as Islamic multi-finance company, Islamic rural banks, and Islamic microfinance institutions, known as Baitul Mall wa Tamwil (BMT), but their sizes are still relatively smaller compared to Islamic finance players mentioned earlier.
